The DESTRUCTION ’80 exists to bring a warmer, darker high-gain sound—angrier, raw, and percussive. Powered by a custom degaussed Alnico 5 magnet, its attack is dry and immediate, with a punch-forward low end, a touch of sag, and a midrange that hits hard without smoothing over the edges.
 
Palm-muted riffs explode with weight and definition, while single notes jump out with a snarling, almost vocal character. There’s less polish here and more bite—gritty upper mids, controlled but present highs, and a natural compression that responds directly to pick dynamics rather than masking them.
 
This pickup thrives on tension. It excels at sharp rhythmic playing, syncopated riffs, and solos that feel dangerous rather than glossy. The low end stays lean and disciplined, the mids stay assertive, and the top end cuts without fizz, giving the overall sound a menacing, street-level attitude.
