The PS-RD1 may share the same lineage as the PS-BL1, but its unique wind shifts the voice into new territory. A gentle lift in the upper mids adds focus and definition without ever drifting into harsh or “fizzy” territory. You get all the harmonic bloom and sustain of the PS-BL1, but with a touch more body and authority — a fuller, warmer voice reminiscent of the refined, polished rock tones that defined the late ’90s and early 2000s.
 
Chords remain tight and articulate, while lead lines pour out with a confident, vocal-like singality that rewards players who like to “lean in” and let notes hang.
 
Unlike the PS-WH1 and PS-BL1, the PS-RD1 is paired with its own dedicated neck model: the PS-RD2. Featuring a higher DCR and an Alnico 3 magnet, the PS-RD2 delivers a smooth, creamy response with excellent clarity — making it an ideal match not only for the PS-RD1, but also a highly complementary partner to the PS-BL1.
